Background as a physician scientist (Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellow) in translational oncology (Gannochy Trust Innovation Award Winner), with experience in drug development, intellectual property protection and commercialisation. Over 8 years in medicines regulation as a Senior Assessor, Licensing, MHRA.
Dr Clare Knottenbelt. Chief Veterinary Officer.
Specialist practitioner in veterinary oncology. Ex-Director of the Small Animal Hospital and Head of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at Glasgow University. Extensive publication record in the field of small animal medicine and oncology. As a senior clinician within the world-renowned University of Glasgow Oncology Service she was directly involved in a number of drug development projects run by pharmaceutical companies. Clare has also been a member of a number of expert panels advising on the development of new veterinary oncology treatments and reviewing research proposals.
